So it has been quite some time since I have not only given an update on my life but also posted on my website.
With that being said, this blog post is about a pretty big change in my life. Back in November 2019 I worked my final day at WTAP in Parkersburg, WV to begin a new position at News15 in Lafayette, LA. To be honest, I was nervous about not only having to start at a new station but also moving to a part of the country I had never been before. Moving is always a big ordeal and this time was no exception. The 3 day drive with my parents felt like it would never end but when we finally arrived in Louisiana the nervousness turned more into excitement.
Flash Forward to today. I have been here at News15 for a little over a month and I couldn't be happier at the moment. I have already helped cover my first severe/tornado warnings on air and I feel like I have already improved some since I started. Yes, there is a long way to go but I am excited to explore Acadiana and the surrounding region, meeting new people, and learning the culture.
I'll try to start updating a little bit more frequently as well as post some more weather articles in the future so keep posted for more!
